Editorial Standards
Our standards are public because you should be able to hold us to them.
Sourcing. We name sources wherever it is safe and fair to do so. Anonymity is granted when someone risks their livelihood, never as a convenience for a publicist.
Labelling. Reporting, analysis, opinion, satire, reviews and sponsored content each carry a visible label. Satire is always labelled satire, on the page and in the share preview.
Corrections. When we get something wrong we correct it on the story, note what changed and when, and list it on the corrections page. We do not quietly edit published copy.
Commercial separation. Axlerator Studios work is produced by a separate team, is labelled on every surface it appears on, and has no influence on editorial coverage or homepage placement.
Right of reply. Anyone named critically in a story is contacted before publication and given a fair window to respond.
